From orientation to graduation we are here to guide undergraduates in the College of Arts & Sciences and the General College on their academic path.  We serve current and returning students including all first-year and sophomore students as well as juniors and seniors with majors in the College of Arts & Sciences.

The mission of the Academic Advising Program in the College of Arts and Sciences is to partner with students to create meaningful educational plans that are compatible with their career and life goals. We support a diverse population of undergraduates through an ongoing developmental journey toward graduation that empowers them to take responsibility for their education while becoming globally aware, ethical leaders. Our primary goals are:
  • Understand and communicate the university mission, undergraduate curriculum and academic policies of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, its colleges and departments.;
  • Partner with students as a means of support during their undergraduate career;
  • Encourage and support the self-exploration and identity development of undergraduate students;
  • Support the development of educational plans consistent with the interests, abilities and career goals of undergraduate students.
